Has anyone bought anything from Temu?

I wonder about quality.  I get what I need from Q and will do so, but, I see pictures and prices and wonder about that place.

The only thing I have bought from Temu was Diamond Art kits.  Some were good and some were not.  It takes a long time to get your order.  The prices are great though.

Yes, once and I was scammed.  I never got the item.  When I called they said they had no record of my purchase.

I have read you have to be careful with Temu and Shein.  Google them before you make a purchase.  I won't buy from them no matter how good the prices are.

I buy from them, they have a variety of products and the prices are good. I've never had a problem that they didn't fix immediately.

Re: Has anyone bought anything from Temu?

I just heard a story that Amazon is going into competition with Temu and Shein.  They're just getting it started so only offering a few products right now, but at very low prices.  Delivery will be longer--more like a couple of weeks instead of days--but they say they're monitoring the quality.

I forgot what they're calling it.

All JUNK. Terrible sizing, fabrics awful, shipping dreadful. Save your money and don't buy.

Yes, I cannot miss seeing those low prices!

Have not caved to try knowing there are considerations:

- Heard that it is a Chinese web site that has been known to "steal" your personal data for underhanded purposes

- Have heard people say the picture of the item did not match the item they received

For instance, there was a (supposedly) sequined jacket for a very low low of $15?

The thought goes thru my mind that the factories providing temu items are probably the same ones manufacturing and selling here in the US at a 100x price? But 🤷‍♀️

I've bought some paint-by-number kits from them that have been fine. I follow a few YouTubers who buy tools and stuff from them and say it's fine. You're not getting the best possible items by buying from Temu in most cases, but if you go in understanding what you're getting you'll likely be satisfied.

Re: Has anyone bought anything from Temu?

Yes!  I buy from Temu and from Shein.  I purchased clothing for myself.  Some sweaters, tees, underwear.  I don't buy the really cheap stuff.  The last sweater I bought was $15 and I got a bundle of 7 thick socks for $8.  I have purchased a few house and kitchen items.  Bought hubby a huge bag of steel wool pads, like Brillo, that he uses on the car tires and whatever.  Crazy, I paid like $3 for them.   Sometimes, when I see something on a shopping channel, I go to Temu or Shein to look for the item and I almost always find something similar at a ridiculously low price.  I have had some disappointments,  that just made me laugh.  Like the sneakers I bought that were so bad, I can't even explain them.  But that was my fault.  I paid $10 so I got $10 worth of plastic.  You can return things but I haven't.  Also I bought some Christmas decorations last year that were every bit as nice as anything VPH sells and the cost was much less.  Love the prices and it's a fun experience.  Interestingly, much of what I buy arrives in about ten days.  If you are going to do a test drive on Temu, read the descriptions very carefully.  Especially with clothing.  Use their size charts which are different from ours.
