Curious to know if hotels are mandating wearing masks, and restaurants and buffets are doing business as usual, and offering room service?
A couple of friends are going next month. They are vaccinated. Just wondering if they're better off going later than sooner? I'm asking because they wanted to know what I think. 🤷🏻♀️

@AKgirl2 You or they can check the websites for the hotels to get all of the necessary information.
I personally would not travel right now but that's me. Not going to go through a crowded airport with goodness knows how many unvaxed or otherwise sick people.

I live about 8 miles from the Strip. Wynn's and Caesar Palace have buffets. They are very expensive and reservations are required. I would check with their hotel about room service. Gov. Sisolak has mandated masks. Doesn't matter if you are vaccinated or not. We just don't know when masks will be required. October is a great month for the weather.
OPPS -- sorry I should have said "we don't know when masks WON'T be required."

My son and daughter in law recently went to Vegas and had a nice time. The only complaint they had were flight delays

I was there last week. There is a mask mandate but I would wear one anyway. You can still catch covid even if vaccinated. I stayed at the Wynn and it was very clean. You need a reservation for most of the restaurants. But we were able to get a table when we showed up early. The place is still crowded Friday thru Monday. During the week it's not bad at all. Taxi's are in business. I still won't do a buffet, too risky. I don't think they're worth the price anyway. Room service is available. We went to 3 different casinos and they were doing a booming business. I'd say go ahead. I probably wouldn't go during Thanksgiving tho.

My sister went a few months ago and one issue she mentioned was the elevators in the hotel. No social distancing and they were crowded, so they had to wait several times before an empty one showed up. Many people were not wearing masks, even though the hotel stated they were required.

My boss was just there. Yes you are required to wear a mask unless you are actively eating or drinking. Some places are more stringent about it than others.
He said things are definitely not back to normal. I don't know about the buffets.

Depends on which hotel you stay. At our hotel there was a security person standing at the elevators making sure that everyone getting off was wearing a mask. They provided one when needed. And they had people walking around telling you to put a mask on while in the casino. If you wanted to smoke you had to go outside.
