Do you think perhaps endless shrimp may have ended? Maybe Red Lobster can't afford to be so generous.

I believe the parent company has already stated they want to keep it on the menu as a regular item but priced at $25 instead of the current $20.

Everything at Red Lobster is wonderful, seems that financial troubles are hitting all over.
Sorry to hear it.

I know of a couple of Red Lobsters that have closed much to our surprise. DH loves Red Lobster!

Just how much shrimp can people put away? To me it's a quantity vs. quality restaurant. I wouldn't eat there if quality was was goal.

So many of the big chain restaurants like Red Lobster, Fridays, Applebees, Outback, etc. have been struggling for years. The novelty of these restaurants seems to have cooled down with the public and newer chain restaurants are now getting the customers.

I live on the eastern coast and have wild caught shrimp available for very low prices (last I checked, they're about $9/lb for jumbos). Our Red Lobster never made it here but I think it's possibly because people aren't excited to eat pond raised seafood from other countries.

Didn't they only just start that promotion this June?
That Ultimate Endless Shrimp contributed to their Q3 financial loss, but it was not the only cause.
Thai Union Group (Thailand-based seafood company), the owner of Red Lobster, stated that they expected operating losses in Q3 to be $17 million. But the shrimp promotion made it worse, to a $20 million loss.
Seems like there are other business decisions that contributed to their overall loss. But the spin on the shrimp promotion makes for a good way to deflect the other issues.
So now it's $25, since they want to keep the promotion on their menu.

A Thai Union Group now owns RL.
