I see them online now. If you have, do you like it better then a tree skirt?

i used a wicker one from target last year...it was nice, but this year i bought an old wine barrel from lowes and put my 5 foot tree in it, love the rustic look, going simple this year.
Forgot to mention we added a few pieces of wood in the wine barrel to raise the tree up a bit.

I think it's a neater look than a skirt. But I don't have one. Once, I brought one home from Terrain but my artificial tree's stand was too big, so back it went.

I do like the idea of something more substantial around the tree base. I tried one a few years ago and fought with it for awhile trying to assemble and place it, and then after all that work I didn't like the look so went back to my urn that has a built-in tree stand. It's really pretty and gives my 6.5-foot tree extra height. Some years I put silk poinsettias in the urn to fill in around the tree but this year I'm going with a fluffy white tree skirt bunched up to look like snow in the urn. I hope that looks good. I would love to have an antique decorative wrought iron stand but they are $$$.

I have always had a hate .. hate relationship with tree skirts ...
I just have never liked them ....We put our tree into a pot ...
secured of course ... I do like the collars ....

I used one with my Bethlehem Lights 6 1/2' tree. For the collar to fit around the stand, that left a big extremely noticeable gap at the top then that I ended up wadding up my tree skirt and trying to fill it in. I never used it again, donated it.

I like tree collars, but never could get one to look right on my tree so went back to a tree skirt. Couldn't get the collar to fit tight enough.

Thank you for all the inputs about the tree collar. I saw one I like on HomeGoods website. Not sure how it will look. I may order it and see.![]()

hobby lobby has a couple, in store. I would like one but hubs likes the traditional skirt.
I did find a bark like wrap, to put around the base of the art. tree, to cover cords and make it more "real". azon for that.
ps, you might get more responses, if you post in Holidays.

I was thinking of buying one this year. When you have an artificial tree they hide that giveaway funky trunk.
