Meghan had an excellent opportunity to show true character and ditched it.  If people were not saying nice things, she had a great chance to prove them wrong.

If things were tough, she had an opportunity to hang in there and prove her worth.

She had a chance to live up to the expectations the Brits have of their Royal Family and she fled the country.  She really never gave the Royal Family a chance.

So, I'm not seeing what so far she has proved about great character.  The Queen on the other hand, has shown grace, courage, and steadfastness for decades now--from the 1940's on.  I don't know how anyone could compare the two.

Re: Harry & Meghan signed on for speaking engagements

I am not the least bit interested in hearing what either has to say about anything.  I cannot imagine paying to hear it.

@Pearlee Good morning!

I actually do not have an opinion about this couple at all.  I look at them as a young family trying to find their way in this crazy world.  I am sure they will make mistakes along the way, just as we all did.

These "bashing" threads have gone on for months. They consist of not so much a "difference of opinion" but attacking the couple over and over, especially throwing in all sorts of nefarious motives along the way.

Have a lovely day, stay cool and safe.

I just watched the link ‘video’  on thread  entitled The Opportunityy On among friends and I do not know who the lady is on the video but her views, given at length, are what lots of Brits are expressing re H & M.  But this is the first time I have seen this type of news from U.K.

p.s. DH has received parcel today  a copy of Lady C book sent to him ‘for  his comments’ he just told me!

@dulwich I'm curious about the Lady C book and hope you keep us updated.

That video was interesting and touched on some things I've thought about but never discussed or read about, especially the doll theory. 😂

Re: Harry & Meghan signed on for speaking engagements

@Mersha. There are negative opinions of the couple expressed on this thread I don't see what you are describing though; perhaps you are thinking of other threads. However you are chastising us for expressing our negative opinions. If those opinions bother you so much, the thread title is obvious so rather than chastise us for our opinions just skip the thread. You are doing your own bashing on these threads to posters having a negative opinion of this couple.

As for posters advising me about my safety during the pandemic on this thread, it's off topic.

Just another step closer for the "Separation/Divorce announcement.  Sorry for those who think so highly of them but Harry will either just finally get fed up or Meghan will think she can do so much better without him on her coat tails. I would not pay for parking much less for a ticket to hear anything they have to say about life.

I don't think the timing if signing with this agency is coincidental. That favorable-to-them book is coming out in early August, Finding Freedom.

Well said @Pearlee.  The topic can go either way-- positive or negative--with some interested in what these two may have to say and others not interested.  No need to label those not interested as bashers unless, of course, it is one's intent to close down the thread.

I appreciate your comment upthread about Lady C being proven wrong in the past. I'm curious about the book but not so sure how accurate it will be.

I did not realize that was the title of their so called book.  Should be titled Finding Money Without Employment.

@Mersha

You make it sound like they are something like twenty years old. They are not "a young family trying to find their way in this crazy world" as you described. They are both right at forty years old, starting to push middle age, lol. She is a C grade actress who, by the way was married and divorced, and he is a wealthy, entitled guy who has never had a job in his life.
