The Telegraph announced Harry & Meghan have been filing trademark applications for. . .
Archewell
"Arche" = the Greek word meaning "source of action"
They say it was a source of inspiration for naming their son. Meghan and Harry have explained, "Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another that evokes the deep resources we each must draw upon." They are continuing to focus on supporting efforts to tackle COVID-19 and will officially launch the non-profit at another time. "Faced with this information coming to light, we felt compelled to share the story of how this came to be. . .We look forward to launching Archewell when the time is right."
I wondered what they would come up with to replace Sussex Royal.

What a terrific name! So glad to hear of their new non-profit; they are truly a force of good deeds and charity for the world.
I don't think that this, in any way, replaces any prior names, etc. But, who cares, right? It's kind of like Diana--who said she would be the "queen of hearts." One's actions and charity make one's true identity / name, not a royal birth. Fortunately, Harry and Meghan seem to understand that well.

I like it, the name and the meaning behind it. To me, it sounds better than Sussex Royal.

I agree that it's better than Sussex Royal.
I didn't realize the meaning of the Greek word "arche" had inspired them when naming little Archie. Their inspiration for his name has probably been posted lots of times on various websites, but it slipped past me.

Don't let non-profit fool you. It will make them money.

Quite interesting. Baby been hidden for a year now they appear to be ‘using’ his name to aid their marketing purposes.
