This has nothing to do with Christmas, but in 2018, I purchased this sweater. It's a cashmere blend sweater with the lettering translated to: I am sneaky. Since then I wear it every year to our office Christmas party. it's long gone from the market, but I love it.

First, you can only get limited wear from them and secondly, people make fun of this type of clothing.
I don't care...you should wear what you want, but I am not looking for any negative attention and don't want to be the brunt of any jokes.
I have a super cheap tee with the Grinch on the front, otherwise it a no-holiday clothes for me too.

I don't buy embellished expensive items, and if I wanted one Walmart has a good assortment.

You were right with your thought. It almost makes me feel bad for them. Just comes across as desperite.
Having spent several years working in sales, perhaps I see these presentations differently than most people. They can be worse than conducting seminars, which I have also done.
When you are selling to another person, there is back and forth conversation. Questions asked and answered. It's a discussion.
When a host is selling into a camera lens it can be VERY hard to keep it going for a whole hour, even if a second person is present.
It can often be like a One Hour Monologue.
That's often the nature of presentations on any SHOPPING CHANNEL. They talk non-stop about what they're selling. Hopefully, they talk more about the products than other nonsense just to fill the air time. It's not easy.
JMO, of course.

I have a very inexpensive Henley I bought from Macy's with Christmas trees and little red packages ect. on it. I start wearing it around Thanksgiving and stop by January 1. I think I paid $12.00 for it, but I would not spend much more than that for any holiday even red white or blue. Now my Dallas Cowboys that is a whole other converstaion.
