A very heartfelt thank you to our women veterans on this Women Veterans Day.

While not recognized nationally it should be.  Hopefully your state is among those that have codified today but if not I urge you to write, email or call to get the ball rolling in your state.

All should be acknowledged on 1 day & that's Veterans Day...the Milatary is not about self, it's about service.

A Veterans is a Veteran, man or woman, why must they have separate celebrations.  God bless them all and Thank you for your service.  The K9 core included.

@Marp I disagree.  Women are Veterans just like the men who served.  They do not need their own day, they need to be included and recogonized on Veterans day along with the men.

And I can say that now I do hear the Men and WOMEN who serve in most references.

My mom was a WAC.  Women need to be seen as equal, not different, not less than or more than, but as equal.  Unless they are included, they are different.  And to me that's not what we want.

And there already is a women's memorial in D.C.

I know the OP and others have good intentions. However a Navy Vet I don't want nor need a special day.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.
