Can it be?  Ringo is almost 80? He was quite sickly as a child, so I'm happy he's having a good (there's an understatement), long life.  He has stayed fit and youthful and always seems to be a very nice man.   I remember when Lennon was killed, Ringo and Barbara Bach were vacationing in the Bahamas and immediately flew back to console Yoko and see if he could do anything to help her.  Nice guy.

He still gets by with a little help from his friends.      Keep on rockin' Richard Starkey.

He is my favorite Beatle.  Wishing him a Happy Birthday and many more.  I've seen him in concert 3 times, once with The Beatles and twice with his All Starr Band.

I remember seeing them on their first time on TV w/Ed Sullivan.  Once they became a hit my older brother and my two sisters pretended to be the Beatles.  My brother was Paul and my two sisters wanted to be George and John.  I got stuck being Ringo because they said I was the odd ball and ugly like him.  But that was OK with me.  I had a huge secret crush on him.

@rms1954   Ringo's drum cover - with the Beatles logo - is at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Beatles exhibit (or was when I was last up there - the items rotate in and out of that exhibit because they don't have enough room to exhibit all the Beatles items at one time).  Boy was that drum cover dirty!   From being dragged around the world I assume.  And...it's so much smaller than it looked on the Ed Sullivan show!

I can hardly believe Ringo is turning 79! I have such fond memories of the Beatles...I was right in the middle of ”Beatlemania”...
