I'm so sorry @monicakm . I know it's hard. My late husband's birthday was two days before mine so we celebrated birthday week each year. We got married insanely young, 18 and 19, so we celebrated a lot of birthdays together before he passed away.  I never had my own birthday cake because I just shared his. It took a long time for my birthday to not feel so weird without sharing it with him. It made it extra hard and extra lonely so I get it.

I hope you have a happy birthday anyway. It's ok to remember your brother and feel sad. You have to let yourself grieve in order to move forward. Just remember he's with you in spirit so celebrate on his behalf too. I'm betting he would want that for you.

@monicakm I am so sorry for the loss of your brother.  He was a very good looking guy!  The love you have in your heart for him will always be the the spiritual tether that you have to him.  Kind of like a heart-soul land line your memories of him are like the voicemail messages.  Anytime a situation reminds me of my dad...I hear him and what he would be saying like he was still next to me.  I'm sure your brother's soul is shining so bright from the love you shared with him.  Prayers that God holds him close until the day your souls meet again.

@monicakm Awwww......that's a good dream. I've read many articles that said our loved ones communicate with us through our dreams. I've felt the same thing with my parents. Our loved ones are right there....so real. I believe they're close to us. ❤️

@monicakm   Thank you for sharing this.  It breaks my heart.  You will always have him near you in spirit, yes, I think they can hear us.  Heartbreaking for a mom or dad to lose a child.  We expect our parents to go before us.  My Grandma lost two daughters before her death(my mom and aunt) It was extremely emotional, and I don't think she was ever the same after their deaths. 

Hugs for Franks birthday!  He was quite the good looking fella, your daughter is right!  He was quite the man also, for taking care of your parents too.  It says a lot about him.  So hard for you too.  Thinking of you.  Sweet you named your dog Frankie.  ❤️

I lost my oldest brother four months ago and miss him terribly and think of him every day.
