I would have known that others had already answered your question. Some of you may remember that I am a counselor for the Billy Graham Evangelical Association. You may remember the television special, "The Cross" that aired last year on Rev Graham's 95th birthday. At the same time an additional special was being worked on, "Heaven", which aired in various Christian television markets today. If you didn't have the opportunity to see it, it's now available on You Tube. ~ Blessings. On 11/7/2014 scotttie said:Scottie...the library is in Charlotte. On 11/7/2014 AprilFlowers said:Has anyone been to his library? Where is it April? We MAY be making a trip south next year and perhaps this could be a stop on our itinerary.

What a lovely man. I remember going to his crusade as a child and our family walked on the field together to make a profession of faith. He and my dad were born the same year, in the same state. I have his 700 page biography. The stories are heartwarming. I like how he gave Ruth credit for raising their children, as he was traveling so much. Thank you for starting this thread. I truly want to visit his library.

My husband and I had taken a week to visit "The Billy Graham Library" in 2007.
Ruth Bell Graham, his wife, died 4 days after her birthday:age 87 (June 10,); death- June 14th, 2007. We were there on August 31, 2007. I have both Ticket Station admission Journey Of Faith cards for admission, which I have carried in my handbag since receiving both. (Public Guest) Free.
His boy hood home is postioned on the grounds. There is a tour guide through the house with stories of his life, as a child to an adult. That is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. His home, now, is in Montreat, North Carolina- a log cabin home that he shared with his wife, while raising their children.
Evangelist William Fraklin Graham.
The museum is a self tour that one can walk through at your own leisure. The galleries in the library showcase have many presentations, pictures, music, artifacts and VOICES from Reverend Graham's life time and give proof of the the millions of people he has influenced.
One gallery is devoted to Ruth Bell Graham, his late wife. She had an affinity for reading and it shows when you tour the grounds of the Library and homesite.
Mrs. Ruth Bell Graham is buried in the prayer garden just off the the main entrance, visitors will find this beautiful final resting place so serene. I spent one hour there myself.
Reverend Graham, from a personal check:-a U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom to a piece of the Berlin Wall, visitors will get the chance to grasp just how much of an influence on the entire world this one man had.
The glass cross built into the front of the library is absolutely breath taking.
Thank you for reading my experience when we were there one month after the opening.
I know I have not described this, as though one, who be there in person.
The entire exhibit was overpowering. I left feeling so empowered but so insignificant from the exhibit with sound, music, stories and 'bigger than life' screen productions, from all of Reverend's first stories- in his own voice; brief quote from sermons, to the last ones.
You will not be disappointed-ever- if anyone should have the opportunity to go.

Thanks Not for giving me a preview! I know we will go as DH wants to see it too.
I read that all the counselors who prayed with people kept their names and addresses.
He must miss Ruth something awful.
I believe Dr. Graham misses his sweet Ruth a lot, too.
Did you know that when Greta Van Sustern had a birthday a few months back, Franklin Graham presented her with one of Dr. & Mrs. Graham's rocking chairs from their front porch? Quite a special gift for her. I think they're very good friends and she works closely, in some fashion, with Samaritan's Purse.
Wow! What a gift..I know he misses Ruth..I had no idea that he was such good friends with Greta~ My family adored him..He made a difference in my life!

I have read some of Ruth's books. I liked every one of them. Her parents were missionaries to China. She and Billy were a good match, I think.
Some people here mentioned the Gaither's. They have a wonderful shop and café not far from where I live. I have talked to Bill and Gloria a couple of times when they were home and when I was in the shop with my mother and sister. They have very beautiful things for sale and their food is excellent. They even have Vestal's Fresh Coconut Cake and it is out of this world! It's like a "ladies who lunch" place and some of the freshest most wonderful things to eat. I have a cousin who collapsed in the Gaither store and died of a major brain aneurysm. She was laughing and singing to the music and never knew what hit her. They did not know her but sent a beautiful basket arrangement for her funeral. They have a big TV screen and lounge area where they play all the DVD's so you can sit and watch them with a cup of their fine flavored coffee's or tea. We love it there. Gloria suggested a book to me once years ago and I so appreciated it. She and Bill are very down to earth and very friendly. They also have a special dining hall and they have special speakers. Many times it is one of the singers who travel with them. Also you can visit their studio right next door where some of the music is made. I just love going there! They are definitely big fans of Billy and Ruth Graham.
