Chocolate gravy is a southern thing.  I've only made it for the babies and maybe like 4 or 5 times. You are basically making a homemade choc pudding and pouring it, warm, over biscuits.  I don't recall if it thickened when it got cool.  That was years ago.  Lots of recipes online.
