Half-Staff Flags: Until sunset 2/19 (M)

As a mark of respect for the victims of the attack perpetrated
on Wednesday, February 14th in Parkland, Florida,
a President's Proclamation has been made to
immediately lower all American Flags to
Half-Staff until sunset, 2/19 (Monday).

My intent with these Half Staff posts is for it to be treated

like a Guest Book at a funeral service.

We already have an active post, dated 2/14, which would

be a perfect house for those opinions.

I realize we’re free to post anywhere, but I would like

to treat the Half-Staff thread with a quiet respect. IMO.

@sidsmom I agree with you 1000%. If somebody doesn't like what opinions can and cannot be expressed on the other active thread please feel free to vent on one of the other myriad of sites dealing with this tragedy.

Thank you for reminding all of us that quiet reflection and respect has just as much importance as any opinion.

Heartbreaking...but we need to do more to honor the victims by ensuring that we are united about finding a way to make this stop.Get mad about it and don't stop being mad or heartbroken over the loss of our innocent children and all victims.
