🇺🇸 Half-Staff Flags: 9/11, Sun (early notify)

This is an early notification for lowering
the flag for Patriot Day, 9/11 (Sunday only).

 

"Lowering the flag to half-staff is a visual reminder of our unity.

On Patriot Day we reaffirm the spirit of patriotism, service

and community that we felt in those days and months that

followed the attack.  It's the perfect time to consider volunteering

in activities that will enrich our lives and strengthen our nation."

This is also a good time to inspect your flag for any wear/tear

and to properly destroy/replace as needed.

 

An official President's Proclamation will be issued soon directing the

U.S. flags to be flown at half-staff as a mark of respect for those

who died during the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
