Fire Prevention Week 2018 will be observed October 7-13.
On Sunday, October 7, the flag of the United States 

will be flown at half-staff, from sunrise to sunset, in honor

of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.

To honor those who have sacrificed their
own lives to save the lives of others,
a President's Proclamation will be issued to
lower all American flags to half-staff 10/7 (Sun) only.

"I call on all Americans to participate in this observance with
appropriate programs and activities and by renewing their
efforts to prevent fires and their tragic consequences.”
