Had An Excellent Breakfast Today!

[ Edited ]

Decided to use some tuna salad I had made and have a yummy sandwich and some seedless green grapes. My sammich (as we sometimes say in my family) was sooo good! Great way to start the day.

EDITED TO ADD: I had the grapes on side, NOT in the tuna. Ew!

@Love my grandkids

When I was in high school, my go-to breakfasts were soups or sandwiches, like tuna salad, fried bologna, fried spam, etc.

I have never been a big fan of cold cereal or any breakfast food for breakfast.   I am more likely to eat breakfast foods for supper.

Green grapes MAKE tuna and chicken salad!!!...Red are OK too.

They make it JUICY!

And if I have some nuts...almonds or walnuts, pecans...I rough chop a few and add with the grapes.

SOOOOOO GOOOD!!!!

I just have to remember to buy them....if fact, I just added them to my shopping list cause I'm making an oven stuffer roaster soon and the ONLY way I like white meat from Chicken or turkey is in salad...

Thanks for the reminder!

@Othereeeen I actually had the grapes on the side, not in the tuna!

Exactly.  Grapes are fabulous right in the salad.

My beloved Dad always said 'sammich', thanks for the memory.Heart

But I'm with @Othereeeen, I love grapes and pecans in my 'salad' sandwiches. be it tuna, chicken or turkey salad.

We all know that adding grapes, nuts or anything besides maybe celery or parsley to tuna fish is against the law!😁

But my mother broke it everytime. She would add nuts to anything and throw in some raisins, apples fruit whatever to salads, everything!

Love my grands, I'm chuckling because I love tuna fish salad sandwiches and I sometimes refer to "sandwich" as "sammich."

Cold leftover pasta is something my brother would eat for breakfast.

I will have a bowl of soup if there is some good homemade soup leftover in the fridge.  Tuna salad would be great for breakfast  but I never seem to have any leftover.
