time now: 1317. We are starting to get the outer bands. Torrential rain. Winds have picked up to 21 mph with much higher gusts. It is bad out there already and getting worse by the minute. There are several large and dangerous tornadoes south of us. What else could happen?!

I put on makeup and did my hair nicer than usual. When I'm found I want to be proud of how I looked 😉😂

@smoochy.  I hope you used a waterproof mascara.

Off topic, but I wanted to address a few comments from a few threads in weeks past. Some posters expressed, in their own style, that this was a message board of unkind, nasty, unhelpful vipers.

This thread is a testament to the goodness that can be found on this site. There's a camaraderie that unites posters in their universal concern for the safety and wellness of those affected by circumstances and uncertainty. You see that happen often in many threads.This thread puts a spotlight on that. There's a genuine concern for all living creatures in the path of the storm. And it's a community of strangers attempting to offer whatever comfort they can.

I think it's a good message board to be part of.

@BalletBabe I'm constantly watching The Weather Channel. That is where I will be getting my info.

@Love my grandkids. @BalletBabe

I think the whole nation must be glued to weather channels watching the red swirls on TV.  This is my second day of it and can't seem to break away.  Praying for those in the path.

On Youtube,  search for "Ryan Hall y'all" and click on the live.   Excellent live coverage with a group of meteorologists and live radar and cams.   Very thorough coverage of whats going on and all the tornado warnings.

@CoffeeNut I haven't heard of him before.  I do have it on now and they are saying the tornadoes are really bad now. People who evacuated are where the tornadoes are happening and water spouts are going on. These poor people. Prayers.

I live in Central Florida and we are expected to take a bad hit this evening and early in the morning. I am a native Floridian and have lived through many hurricanes. One never gets used to these things....I truly hate them.

Thanks so much for all the prayers....they are SO appreciated.

Thank you for keeping us posted! Prayers sent for all involved and the state of Florida.

 I have family just a bit inland from Tampa and last I heard they have decided to hunker down and stay. I am very worried.

@haddon9  @BalletBabe.  My sisters friend, who I've mentioned before as living in Tampa, has decided to stay in her one story house because her relatives, who live in the area, are going to stay.  So she may lose her house, her Cadillac Escalade, after losing her husband suddenly in July and the business they operated.

Shed previously said she was evacuating then changed her mind.  We were so relieved and are now furious with her, especially since her area was under evacuation orders.

The news is so scary  They say if you stay use an indelible ink pen to put your name on yourself. If that isn't frightening enough to make you relocate, I don't know what will.

My dad use to say, you can replace things but not a human.
