I saw one of your posts @BalletBabe  in which you said thank you to QVC for providing this forum for us to share on, especially for times like this.

I'd like to say that during my adult life...the last 20 years of it, I have taken shelter here numerous times.

During severe snow storms, during holidays when I felt very alone, and numerous other times.

This is what many of us need...at certain times,... a place that is a "home away from home".❤️

What a really nice post @LTT1 .

@LTT1 🤗

I feel the same way. I posted to @Ballet Babe that her friends here at the forum are ALWAYS here for YOU and I meant it.

It’s comforting to know others are going through or have gone through the same thing as you, because your own circle of friends might not have.

And I think it’s even more comforting when someone who doesn’t know you, cares about you. 💕

@homedecor1.  I thought about you, not having any idea in what part of the state you live, and wondered how you fared?  Any damage?  You're obviously okay if you're out chasing alligators.

I went to my son's house for the storm and it is close to where homedecor1 lives.  The area was not very damaged.  Trees down and lots of water!  Lots of Water!!

Areas flooded that have never flooded before!

Hurricanes are not like a blanket effect.  The damage is in separate areas.  One side of my community got hit hard and the other end does not have a leaf in the yard!  One house lost the metal roof but the house across the street was not touched!    They are weird!

I live hour north of Tampa (Trinity) and thank you for asking @Kachina624

We had a lot of rain and high winds but no damage.  Lots of tree branches down but  no flooding, loss of power.

Several years ago I had all my windows replaced with hurricane impact style so I felt safe staying home and not evacuating.

Friends of mine who live in surrounding areas had a lot of flooding.

I was surprised to see that baby alligator in my driveway as we have large retention pond out back on golf course & there are 2 large alligators "resting" in there.

Our area was very lucky thank you again for asking😊

Hello @homedecor1 🤗

Do you think the baby alligator belonged to the larger alligators in your pond?? And if so would they come and get him/her?

How do you mow around the pond when there are alligators in there? I read where they can run like 30 mph or more! 😳

@RescueLover

I don't our golf course maintenance crew is responsible for mowing and maintaining.

I live in gated HOA community and we have landscapers although I know they have encountered 🐊 when they've been mowing and snakes my worse fear.  (I don't do outside yard work for that reason😳).

And yes alligators can run faster than humans I've heard too.

I have storm drain right in front of my house where they are sometimes so I am always "on patrol" and it's possible he was just washed up or lost.
