HSN cut/dropped a jewelry vendor for not paying their bills.

In a time when so many things are all about profit, it is nice to see a company take a stand on the side of ethics.

Very interesting. And all too easy to happen. I've seen quite a few pop-up "let's help these poor women and their families" online selling sites over the past few years - more than I ever have before.

They aren't, however, all ripping off their artisans.

Just a tiny plug for Novica dotcom, which is a site run and funded by National Geographic that sells the high quality goods of local artisans from all parts of the world. I have several unique and quality pieces of jewelry from them using sterling and genuine semiprecious stones, all hand-worked, and not as expensive as many home shopping offerings.  They also sell clothing, handbags, home decorative items that you won't see anywhere else. I highly recommend them as being what this type of artisan operation should be but often isn't.

Good for HSN.  I think that there's probably more of that type of thing out there when it comes to artisan crafted jewelry but we have no way of knowing.

Seems like we heard about this happening a long time ago.  Maybe they just got around to taking action.

Good for them and I hope she gives those workers their money...............I hope that she is made to pay them.  How horrible.  Those workers working so hard for nothing.
