This morning Saturday on HSN the new host is walking around with her coffee. Seems unprofessional or like she's hooked. Valerie Stup does that as well.

@mjmm Hmm, I really don't see a problem with this. I've watched the shopping channels for many many years. Someone is always drinking something, or at the least, carrying a cup with their logo on it. No biggie.

Unprofessional?  They're doing what management tells them to do.  See the HSN logo on the cup?  

I've watched two of her presentations this morning while holding the cup.  Hooked?? She has barely taken a sip from it.  So it's not the coffee, it's setting the mood.

I've seen this done often, in the morning shows especially.  It's their way of mirroring the morning ritual that many viewers are probably doing.  Enjoy your coffee while watching & shopping.  It's all sales.

@mjmm  I don't know if we're talking about the same host, but there is an HSN host who I notice carries her coffee mug constantly.  Maybe she works on weekdays.  I just tuned into HSN and I don't see her.

To me the weekends seem to be a bit more relaxed with jeans and coffee cups live on-air.
