the hsn system for reviews is so much better and reliable than the QVC system. at qvc they allow people who have not even purchased the item to do a review and i think they do a lot more censoring.

Your right...HSN won't even let you give a review till you've had the product for a week.. I believe.

Here they'll let anyone post a review which is hilarious when you read a rave review and then the reviewer adds, "I can't wait to get mine".

I was reading reviews of a Joan Rivers pin. All were 4 or 5 stars except one so I read it. It was a bad review because the person didn't buy the pin because she thought the price was too high ......{#emotions_dlg.blink}

bgb I know what you mean. Some of my reviews were rejected and I never understood why.

I always use the Sort and see the negative reviews first and then sort to see most recent reviews on any website.

I do the same thing. I don't care about the "glowing" reviews, I want to read the negative reviews first to see what issue(s) the product in question has.

glad to see I'm not the only one who looks for the bad reviews first. they really help me to decide whether I buy the product or not, as long as the negative review sounds legit, and not just for some trivial reason

Business is business. Would you put the bad reviews on the front page if you owned a newspaper or operated a website? I certainly would not.

Re: HSN doesn't like bad product reviews

I don't think they even read the reviews, much less reject them. I recently planned to review the Lather bamboo scrub and the Smashbox lip lacquer. My mistake, but the Lather review ended up on the lipstick page.
