I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned before.  Of what benefit is it to know your order got somewhere (?) On a certain day and time if they can't tell you where it is?  5hey might as well save some cyber space.

@Kachina624    I'm glad you posted this.  The info they provide is useless if you have no idea where the order is...

Re: HSN Tracking Useless

[ Edited ]

@Kachina624 I noticed this about a month ago. I was hoping it was just some sort of glitch in the system.

I don't understand why they adopted this method of tracking, as you state, it is useless. Since everything is just scanned, not manually entered, I can't figure out why the LOCATION does not automatically populate.

@Kachina624  Try copying the tracking number and tracking directly through UPS. That gives more info. When they hand it over to USPS, there should be a different tracking number to use.

Admittedly, this should not be necessary. "It is on the way, somewhere in the world, you'll get it someday..." is annoying and bad CS.

That's strange as mine has the locations on it as I have a few items I am waiting for.   It may just be a glitch in the system.  I usually have no problem at all with my HSN tracking and receive my items faster than from the Q.

I have only noticed it recently and don't care for the lack of location when tracking.

I did copy the tracking number and put it on the UPS tracking website. Now I know where the packages are for my recent HSN orders.

I don't order that much from HSN, otherwise I would take the time to call their Customer Service to find out why it is that way. Perhaps it is just a glitch.

Things have changed at HSN. They used to credit a return within a day or so.  I marked an item defective after 10 days the it was processed and they charged return shipping. I started a chat and was told that in order for them to waive the return fee, marking "defective" means nothing. Its just for "sorting purposes" .  agent said you have to call them!

This isn't only on HSN.  I've ordered a  number of "As Is" by Valerie products, several TSV, shoes and sale items.  EVERYONE IS TAKING OVER A WEEK TO REACH ME AFTER 2-4 DAYS OF PROCESSING.  And two items keep getting delayed "There's a Carrier Delay for Your QVC Order".  On the orders that are just slow, there is ZERO tracking other than "arrived at carrier faclity" "departed carier facility"    I guess I'm not understanding what the problem is with QVC but shipping seems to be their major challenge.and going into the holiday season, I'm not interested in the frustration of delayed pkgs that end up damaged or simply QVC slow interna logistic.  It's pretty easy to shop elsewhere.  And who at QVC thinks this commetn "A delay with our shipping carrier means we'll miss your original expected delivery date.
We apologize for this inconvenience. Our priority is to provide you with superior customer service, and we appreciate your understanding" soothes customer frustrations?

Facility = whatever they want it to mean.  Warehouse, Post Office, rings of Saturn.

I had seen this previously and assumed that the ubiquitous "facility" was just a placeholder, and the actual places would be inserted later.  Nope.

The only useful piece of the process is that they do email you when it is out for delivery, and once it is delivered, if you check on tracking it indicates Delivered.  To the Facility that is your residence, hopefully.

I've noticed that on the last few items I ordered from HSN. I  like knowing where my order is located in the delivery process so I know when to expect it.  I thought maybe it was just a gliche in the system but having a second order documented the same way I learned it was the new process. I wonder if it's HSN or UPS that made the changes. Either way for what it's worth I don't like it !  ( I'm sure HSN will act on my opinion right?) Woman LOL
