I had to return an item to HSN, and the shipping charge is now, something new CS told me, SPENDABLE KASH. My SHIPPING CHARGE WAS 6.95, STILL ON MY BILL, BUT HSN TURNS AROUND AND GIVES IT TO YOU IN SPENDABLE KASH.

NOT YELLING, JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE PEOPLE SEE THIS. THE Q DOES NOTHING FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS.

This is new with HSN, not sure if certain or certain customers. They call it the VIP rewards. I'm not a big customer there. Twenty odd years with the Q and nothing, three months with a few HSN items and rewards. If you use your HSN card, you get one more flex than advertised for that item.

Wow...is this the shipping charge you paid to have the item sent to you, or the shipping charge to return the item?

Madzonie, they have always refunded the shipping charge that we pay to have it shipped to us. This is something new, available to HSN cardholders. In essence, you are not paying anything to return an item since they give it back to you in the form of Spendable Kash.

i think that this is an EXCELLENT perk that they added for cardmembers, especially if you are a regular HSN shopper.

I believe the Spendable Kash for the return shipping amount is limited to purchases made with the HSN card.

I thought so. I don't have their card so it doesn't do me any good.

Don't know because I only use an HSN CARD. T point being, how nice to give back to the customer in appreciation. So basically not paying for shipping, it balances itself out. They charge you the shipping on your card, but give the same amount back as a kash credit.

Has the Q done anything for it's customers, long time or not? Can anyone name one thing, and not the easy pays, because HSN does it on every item all the time, HSN or reg CC.

HSN, like all in-house credit cards, has high interest rate so it's imperative to pay it in full every month. That said though, it is really the ONLY store/shopping channel card I think is worth having because there is actual financial benefit to having it as long as you know you can be responsible with it.

I'm not disputing that it's a great deal, I was merely ensuring that people understood that it was only for card holders. Indeed QVC could learn a thing or two from HSN in this regard as well as in credit card security. IMHO the QVC carries no benefits but plenty of risk in that it is automatically linked to your QVC on-line account and on-line security is very lax on QVC.com
