maybe it is a problem with your box or your remote. have you ever tried trading them in for a new box?

VanSleepy, it sounds like you dont have the correct code programmed into it. If you still have that pamphlet with the codes try a different one for your brand, they usually list a few for each brand tv. OR Comcast can do it for you over the phone if you dont have the pamphet anymore. I hope this idea will work out for you. ![]()

Van Sleepy, did you get a new remote with the new box, they usually come bundled together. Either way, with a new remote or your old one it does sound like the remote is not coded in correctly.
That sounds really frustrating, let Comcast help you, I have had to have them help me before and its a piece of cake! Nothing worse then being intimidated by the dam remote!! Been there

Call Comcast and complain. I did and it stopped.

Its not your remote or the equipment. I have Comcast and this happens to me also. Its a pain. I used to have to turn my tv off & then back on. Now I just press the "guide" button and then select a different channel. I love HSN, but this feature makes me not even want to tune in b/c its a pain changing the channel.

gln613, thanks for your suggestion. I'm going to call Comcast tonight and see if they can take this feature off of my tv.
