Just received a new credit card from HSN. When you return items using their return label now, the $6.95 shipping charge is credited to your account as spendable cash on your next purchase. It helps to take the sting out the shipping charges.

They are really pushing their credit card. There are perks but if you are not someone that pays the entire bill every statement, you can get yourself in serious trouble as their interest rate is high.

I have had an HSN cc for 20 years. I think it is very generous of HSN and their s/h is actually fairly reasonable plus they offer tons of flex pays. Fortunately, I have always been a good money manager and pay my cc's off in full each month. Couldn't sleep otherwise.

Have returned a few things to hsn and I have never paid the postage.

Unless they sent the wrong item or it is defective, the return fees are deducted from your refund.

Why would HSN not charge you?

Exactly. But people don't see that.

I cannot tell you the number of callers I hear on HSN who talk about returns being free and the host never corrects them. They do not realize the return s/h is being deducted from their refund. It's the same way on QVC.

I agree sunshine. I have the card too. I wouldn't get it just for this new feature but it's certainly a nice bonus since I already have the card.

Because the items were defective. And yes, I watch my cards/cash and assets very closely. It would take more than a shopping network to beat me out of a penny. If they send me something defective? Why would they charge me?
