Re: HOw do you handle a rainy day alone in isolation

@gellen  I'll probably sound nuts (when has that ever stopped me?) but if it's just a rain shower (no lightning) then I go for a walk. It's the best time for me in my complex, because no one else is outside and no worrying about distancing! There's something fun and childlike about putting on your rain coat and walking about.

At least for me Smiley Happy

If that's not a possibility then my next choice is cozying in with a good book. Nothing like reading with the sound of rain in the backgroun.

Hope you are doing well!

@SunSprite

Not nuts.  I walk every day and only torrential rains or icy streets will stop me.

I walked in a light rain today.  I gotta walk.

There haven't been too many of them for me.  I tend to look at the forecast and if I know bad weather is due, I save the laundry and paperwork for those days!

Ok, so the grumps are going to find a reason why they hate my response. Sorry haters, not gonna work!

@ahoymate   That isn't why I dislike your response.  I'm not grumpy.

I dislike it because it was unkind to a poster who absolutely didn't deserve it

I love the rain. It's great for sleeping. Sometimes I will nap. I do hate it when a storm causes a power loss though.

It always seems better when the sun is shining! When it's a rainy day, I spend time curled up with my book, take a nap, bake some cookies, "window shop" on my favorite websites, make a favorite casserole if I have the ingredients - whatever I feel like doing. I avoid a lot of housework - that seems like punishment to me!

You are incredibly rude and immature. Sorry you are so miserable.

Thankfully, most posters here are happy, fun loving, caring people who enjoy life. Sharing thoughts and feelings with others is fun until someone like you tries to ruin a thread.
