????  Maybe for you but that does not work for me; maybe because I do not have an avatar- just the generic one.

I have always signed out by clicking on my nic on the upper right and that is where the drop down menu appears to sign out.

@Cakers3   Well I am on a laptop.  I do not do forums on my phone.  But on mine my nic is right beside my avatar.

@BalletBabe   I know our nics are above our avatars.  That is not what you posted.

You said to click on the avatar, not the nic.  Either way, it doesn't work for me and I only post from my laptop.

I said I click on my nic upper right and that is where the drop down menu appears.

You might take a moment to really read what somebody posts.

@Cakers3   I read just fine.   I can click on either to get the drop down menu.

Re: HOW TO SIGN OUT OF THE FORUMS

[ Edited ]

It must be the browser or device you're using, mine is also on the top of the page on the right, next to my 'notifications', my avatar is on the left side of the page where I start my post, underneath the avatar on the left side is my post count and start date.

ETA: I am on a laptop.

Several complaining because they are not signing out when they leave here.  If you click on your Avatar, you will get a drop downmenu and it says right there sign out.   That is how you sign out.

Not for me, if I click on my avatar, it goes to my profile, no dropdown menu.

It's the same thing if I click on my nic above the avatar, it goes to my profile.

Re: HOW TO SIGN OUT OF THE FORUMS

@BalletBabe - I know you and I are discussing this on another thread, but I thought, having read some other replies here, that I'd reassure some of those posters that they are not alone in not being able to sign out.

It drives me crazy because, having spent my career in I.T., I know there's an answer to this, if only the Q's team would take the time to properly research the issue.

It is clearly not important enough to them.  I'm sure they consider this forum a dinosaur and want to move on to a newer format.  AKA:  Facebook.  JMO.

You can also just scroll down below the community menu on the left side. Sign out is one of the quick links.

Nope, for those of us who cannot sign out by using the dropdown menu (under our nic/avatar), the "Sign Out" option on the left-hand side of the screen also does not work.

Re: HOW TO SIGN OUT OF THE FORUMS

It probably has to do with the browser software and the version that is.

@Venezia   LOL  I am not signed out either.  I never paid any attention to it, but I cleared my cookies before I shut down and that did it.  What a pain. LOL

I signed back in and back out and it signed me out that time.   Weird  Definitly a glitch somewhere.  Myguess is it won't get fixed because they won't leave these forums open much past the Holidays.
