I have given up. The few times when I have done this, I just tell them how much change to give me.

Uh-oh...here we go.
Ageism is not an attractive look.

@sidsmom Actually, I don’t think it’s ageism. I think it’s showing what good sports posters are in being able to laugh at their own kids/grandkids.

Riiiiiight
But if the joke is flipped, I would guess..no, I'm sure (from past threads)...
the reaction wouldn't be as 'fun.' This forum has proven this true.
Didn't we j.u.s.t. have a thread about Ok, Boomer? And all the
negative fallout from that?

@sidsmom I am a "boomer" so I feel justified in answering you. Guaranteed if the joke was flipped there would be negative response. As you said past threads have proven this.
In all fairness a Millenial should now post a similar thread of what my generation would be confused over. I don't think they would have too much problem coming up with ideas.

@sidsmom i actually agree with you about this...i dont believe it is productive to stereotype based on many various characteristics of humans, including age.

Thats funny .lol..but my kids and grandkids (ages 21, 19 and 15) know all of the above except bunny ears thanks to me. (Yes we have rotary wall phone, typewriter etc) PS What I find most disturbing is how 2 of my gtrandkdis did not have cursive in school, because everyone has to sign their names! So I taught the younger two when I babysat them. My older grandkid had cursive in school.

yep. We did have a thread about OK Boomer and the moaning and gnashing of teeth went on and on.
I realize this thread is meant to be amusing, but when Boomers are stereotyped the same way, many here do't seem to get the humour.
