Right now it's 81, humid, and pretty gross outside. Last week it was in the 70s and over the weekend it was between 66 and 70 during the day and I had all my windows open for the first time since March.

Since last winter was such a bust this has been really nice. The two times it snowed here last year didn't even add up to this. No blizzard, by any means, but at least something measurable. I hope it's better for the ski resorts this year!
Unfortunately, something happened that rendered a lot of people without power. I guess we were lucky, as the power only went out momentarily during the night but our cable has been out since shortly before noon yesterday. This is an anomaly for us. Our cable virtually never goes out, so I don't know what the problem is. I just hope it comes back soon. But even more so, I hope the people without electricity got their power back! I guess it was tens of thousands of people who lost power around 4am Tuesday morning. It's been pretty cool at night (it was 20 when I got up this morning), so that isn't good.

Good Morning, CB!
Yes, 20 would throw me for a loop, too
Terrible that so many lost power. I have a BFF living in the Sierras but she's been traveling, coming home soon. I know Yosemite has had snow so I wonder what she will be coming home to.

Wow, where are you, IF you don't mind saying?
Foggy old SF had something like FIVE MONTHS of what is high heat for us. God, I hope that was a one time only anomaly

I live in the western suburbs of Chicago and they are warning about bad weather starting at 6pm tonight. I actually think those that are more south of us are going to take the brunt of it along with those in the true midwest between high winds, snow and in some parts tornadoes.
Be safe my friends!

Hey Noel! 20 degrees is no biggie, as I like the cooler temps, but 20 degrees without power sure is problematic! It looks like they've been working fast and furiously on the problem and only a couple thousand people now are without power.
We still don't have cable, so I checked the website and it gave that info. Glad for that!
I don't know if the cable outage is related to the power outage, but it seems likely. I'm so antsy without tv.
Since I had no cable last night I missed a certain tv event and have been reading the fact-checking for same. Man, it really concerns me that the people most likely to listen to the things certain people say are not likely to check the facts to find out that much of it is patently untrue. (scary!)
This morning it's sunny and I think it's nearing 30 degrees now, with a forecasted high of 47. Niiiiice! Fingers crossed that people get their power back, then we get our cable back. Thank goodness for Amazon Prime and Netflix!

We are at 32 degrees now with the wind blowing, so it feels much colder out. This is in the Snake River Plains of Idaho, Not far from Jackson, Wyo. and not far from Yellowstone. Real cloudy and just looks like snow any minute.

My husband and I are relocating in a few months from the Sacramento, CA area to Vancouver Washington. It's miserable hot here for like 300 days per year, with hardly any rain. We are moving for business reasons. It literally has gone from 80 to 55 here this week in CA. No fall! lol

In south central PA and its 59 degrees and cloudy. Yesterday it rained all day. No complaints here, anything is better than Winter/snow..lol..
PS) I have a friend in Colorado and while it is gorgeous there, she posted pics on FB today and they had their first snowfall.

And I'm just a wee bit north of y'all, and you could probably see me wave "hello!" Same weather here. I'm thankful for the abundance of rain we've had, wish we could share it with those in need of it. Today's sunny skies and mild temps in the upper 60's are lovely, and the autumn leaves are gloriously beautiful.
