We pretty much went from summer to winter overnight in Albuquerque.  We're getting frosts most nights and our usual sunny days with temps about 55-60 degrees.  Snow in our mountains.

That sounds perfect for there!  We have friends in Phoenix.  I went to visit once in February, as was suggested, and it was already into the 90s.

Southwest Florida - high 80's and sunny.

I finally switched the heat on, although it only came on for a few minutes this morning. We've had our first frost ( last year it had snowed by now).

In SE FL where I live, it's around 90, near record temps for this time of year.

I would welcome a cold snap, but somehow the weather does its own thing whatever I want.

Oh, thank you!  Winging it was on my mind, I follow a chef who highly recommended a book on flavors, ideas from great chefs on what flavors enhance good food.

I am ordering it for a Christmas present for DD.

Sure, I can't think of his last name, he's Neil Patrick Harris' husband David.  Burtka, maybe?  I follow him on instagram, he is always interesting and also does beautiful decorating.

Here's the book, it gets 4 1/2 stars and David raved about it, said he uses it a couple of times a week.
