I prefer this look at how things have changed

end of slavery and segregation

end of women as property

more acceptance of peoples differences

more acceptance of religious diversity

we no longer routinely torture and permanantly institutionalize the mentally ill

more acceptance of disabilities

better medical care and treatments

end of child labor

Can we add NON-Smoking sections and now mostly no smoking allowed?  I remember smoking being allowed in movie theaters, restaurants, college classrooms, and even hospitals!

Amazing how the world has opened for non-smokers now that our needs have been considered.  I wish I had enjoyed the freedom in the first 45 years of my life.  Many opportunities had passed in my life due to others smoking habits.Woman Sad

Re: HOW MUCH THINGS HAVE CHANGED

What I loved about my childhood was that Mom was always home.  Dad worked long hours but at least they could raise 6 kids on 1 salary.  Whenever we needed her, she was there for us.  Smiley Very Happy

My parents will soon celebrate their 66th wedding anniversary. Heart
