Sad but true overall in the USA but not all is true in this family. lol.
We still listen to music via a stereo system with vinyl and cds. We still talk to people on a house phone. AND we get the newspaper delivered daily. (I will never read the paper online as long as there are printed newspapers!..lol).
As far as kids- granddaughters (18 16, and 12). Their rooms are not loaded with all that stuff. They all have cellphones and on the rare occasion they do something wrong those phones are taken. Also they don't sit around lazy watching tv or playing video games much at all. They do yoga, work out on an elliptical, and have activities like swimming etc. The oldest is vegan, younger 2 vegetarians They're healthier than I ever was!
Lastly they don't get in trouble at school and 1 just graduated with honors and the other 2 are honor students too. But had they gotten in trouble at school, no one would yell at the teacher for their grades or behavior!
So you cant classify everyone is what I'm saying, but yeah lots of things have changed over all.

In the future we'll just be a brain that we plug into reality...or fantasy.

I prefer this look at how things have changed
end of slavery and segregation
end of women as property
more acceptance of peoples differences
more acceptance of religious diversity
we no longer routinely torture and permanantly institutionalize the mentally ill
more acceptance of disabilities
better medical care and treatments
end of child labor

It's a heck of a lot better than it was 100 years ago. Heck even 50 years ago.

The last 3 years of teaching, my classes were totally electronic: interactive board, e-books, and mouse mischief ( esp. on April 1, which was an enjoyable and clever prank.)
