I think the Tiny Houses are too small.

Our boat has 637 sq ft. It has 2 staterooms with queen size beds, 2 bathrooms with separate showers, full galley, dining booth that seats 6, and a salon with a large sofa. 4 TV's and a cockpit sitting area that seats 14.

One thing they NEVER mention is the toilet situation. They have to have a holding tank for waste. Our boat has 2 holding tanks (one per bathroom) they need to be pumped out every 7-8 days of usage.

I think some of the Tiny Houses are adorable, but I would want one built on sight that would have an upstairs and 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms.

It had several bump outs like this:

They all have those now - how long was it? the pictures you are showing here are of numerous different campers. I don't doubt you saw the one you described but I doubt it was $43,000 - we sold a fifth wheel when we bought our park model - it was 32 ft with 3 pull outs and to replace it with an equivalent new model would have been in the 60,000 range. It was not large enough for anywhere near what you described or pictured here. I think the one you saw was used or there was some other reason it wasn't selling for full price. I am very aware of what campers go for these days as we did extensive research before we bought our new one , knowing it was the last one we would ever get.

You can doubt all you want...that was the cost....about 2-3 years ago. May be more now but that was the cost. And most 5th wheels are more elaborate then many of the tiny for homes for 50-80 thousand. If you are so unhappy...why not sell your RV?

Happy, she was squatted on the ground washing her clothes- now what went on after the show, bet she ran to a family members house or a Laundromat.. might as well get an old fashioned wash board..

I told my DH I am getting a washboard & tub and using the hot water from the outside shower on the camper. He just shakes his head.It costs us at least $80/month at the laundromat and there is no hot water. Our clothes are so dingy by the time we get home in the fall - and then I wash them here in HOT water and my good washer and - viola - they are back to nice and clean. I don't even take any white clothes with us because I know they would get ruined.

We have a Splenda washer/dryer combo on the boat and it's awesome! Throw a load in and go about my day and come back and it's washed and dried. Best invention ever. Check them out!

and I do recall now why it was that price...you got from 15-20% discount if you bought during the RV show.

I'm telling you it was either used or a demo or had something wrong with it because that is not what those types of campers you described cost. I will not continue to debate this with you - I know what these things go for and that isn't it - it was probably a demo and had been to numerous shows and parked forever on a lot somewhere, or used by the dealer.
