Those tiny houses would be cute for a senior's community. (Or any community, for that matter.) Where there is plenty of land. With a park setting, etc. Probably less expensive than buying mobile homes, etc. One could drive rented golf carts all around, maybe to the clubhouse. It's all a matter of how expensive the land is in a particular area. The labor in building/assembling a tiny house probably wouldn't be 'all that expensive', IMO. ......EDITED: Each Tiny House Community could have a nice Laundromat. Also, a nice mom and pop grocery store. Maybe, if possible, a pharmacy. Or, at least a nearby pharmacy that delivers to the community. (We have one nearby).

I would love to live in a community like this when the time comes...wish it would go viral.

I believe that such communities will become more and more common as the Boomers retire. It's just a matter of time. In 10 years, I think all kinds of new retirement housing options will have emerged all over the country. Where there's demand, there's a market. Those tiny houses really are adorable.

When I was a toddler, we lived in a trailer before we had our own home. Trailers don't appreciate in value, though, so I've heard, and many trailer parks aren't that great to live in (or so I've heard). We lived on our own plot of land around single-family homes in an idyllic setting, not in a park. I'd look into a small-home community that was safe and nice in a heartbeat even now.

They had an amazing community like this in Florida, and then the majority voted to sell to a developer. The negative to what you added is that the businesses in the area may be close, but they may not be good. The coffee shop stinks, the market's prices are high, the cleaner can't clean...that kind of thing. I know of two places like this in my area, and the residents actually go elsewhere for precisely what they want.

Universal Masking in Hospitals in the Covid-19 Era

“We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection.

My understanding is that Forest River is on the lower end of RVs, croemer. That would be a very heavy fifth to pull, especially if it has a W/D.

It does look like a nice floor plan.

No idea tansy...but I described it and was told it was not possible...several times on this thread. I am just backing up what I said with facts...that hh said I did not have.

Because of the price of fuel, they have greatly reduced the weight of these homes. They reduce the weight in ways you do not see. I have no doubt about the price of the home you saw, Croemer. As Raven said there are many, many variables as to cost including season of the year purchased and many others, including distance shipped from the mfg. facility. And, no, Forest River is not on the lower end.

Glad you saw my post to you; now don't make a stranger of yourself, ok? I enjoy reading your posts.

OT, are you going to watch American Idol? I know we're both into the Voice and we're thinking of watching AI this year, although I don't know how long we will, depending on how they work the show with all the changes each year LOL

You are too kind. {#emotions_dlg.wub}

I don't think I will watch AI. I never have because I don't like the way the contestants used to be insulted by the panel.
