HELP!!! Duraflame heaters...

We have the Duraflame Item No. V30707 and just LOVE IT!! It provides ample heat for our bedroom and for an elderly dog who needs the heat. We would LOVE to purchase Item No. V31156 which is the stove with flames (in red, on waitlist). However, we're not sure that this one provides good heat. Can anyone help us with this? TIA.
