HELP! CAT LOVERS !!

This is my first experience with having a ''house cat'''! I'm 60 years old, never had an indoor cat in my life. This precious grey cat appeared at my door 3 days ago. I've tried to find her a home, no takers. I've become very attached to this sleepin' beauty and have decided to keep her. I will be taking her to the vet soon for shots, etc. but I have no idea what I need here at home to accommodate a cat in the house. Can you please advise?
