This is a new one for me ..... but here's the basics:
Worldwide we cut down 27,000 trees EACH DAY ... just to manufacture toilet paper.
Think about how long it takes to grow a tree ... those beautiful trees that take in carbon dioxide and emit oxygen. Yeah, oxygen.
In an effort to save forests, making TP from bamboo is smart because it grows 100 times faster than the average tree and is biodegradable.
Have you heard of this ... or tried it?
No links but the brand name is Honeycomb is you want to do a search.
What do you think about this?
IMO ... what a great idea!

Would want to know more info on exactly how it disintegrates and its impact on water treatment plants and subsequently on the waterways / ocean first.
Those " biodegradable " wipes cause problems as they end up clinging to screens at water treatment places.

@Tinkrbl44 Haha. I bought some of this when Covid hit and could not find any toilet paper, ANYWHERE. I used one roll, did not like it, and there are 11 rolls still sitting on a shelf four years later.

Is it similar to bamboo chopsticks? (I have some of those)...

Funny story. We were grocery shopping and on an endcap was toilet paper marked recycled. Hubbs had a fit. Even when I explained that the paper used to make the TP was recycled.

I'd be willing it give it a try.

That is the only toilet paper my friend buys. I believe it is a bit more expensive but he is very environmentally conscious. When I used this paper I liked it. I think it is a great idea.

Yes, my husband orders it online when available. Very soft, reasonable price, no worries about environmental problems. There are quite a few things we all use that have bamboo properties, including clothing and sheets.
