It seems that HW didn't behave as he's been accused with other attractive actresses, why not? Perhaps they behaved differently.

Can you get PTSD from an experience like that, I think so. Women who were trying to tough it out but always getting angry again and again when people like Streep fawn over such a creepy perverted guy. It must have made it very difficult to let it go. 19 year girls don't always know how to react and don't always know what is going on until it's over and they can sit down alone and process what just happened. I'm sure all of those women carry around substantial anger toward him. There is not enough money in the world to make such an ugly memory disappear, that's the problem.
That's assuming she knew "fully well" years ago when she made that comment.

Yes this is all Meryl Streeps fault.
And that's one of the most disappointing things? Another case of blaming a woman.

It was 2012 and yes everyone in the entertainment industry knew.

Everyone did not know. You're making wild assumptions and accusations. Hope you're never on a jury.

@Tinkrbl44 Rape kits not being tested are a completely separate issue. Just because they are untested doesn't mean the man or woman doesn't have an immediate case or defense. The evidence is there whether it is looked at timely or not.
And if we want to go by decade, most of Cosby's accusers were in the 60s and 70s when drugs including the one he used were legal and available. So again we are back to how do you know they didn't party with him and then regret it and make up a story? You don't. Just like I don't know that they didn't.
And toxicology tests have existed for years. Even a good old fashioned pregnancy test back in the day checked the blood for a specific hormone. Same concept.
And if you don't think an allegation taints someone's reputation, you are not in the working world.
What do you think a man's references will be like when he is fired because the relationship with his company is "no longer mutually beneficial" because they don't want to take a chance on the allegations possibly being true?
Where do you think those who are publicly accused are going to be employed after a background check shows their name popping up with a harrassment or worse allegation attached to it? His resume will be set aside in the trash. A Google search never forgets.
You can't really believe accusing someone of a heinous crime doesn't affect their livelihood or reputation. I know you typed that before you really considered the point.

Just from my experience, it is not always possible to go to HR to report any type of sexual harrassment. I knew that if I reported my boss (who was the head honcho), to HR (best friend of boss), it would go nowhere (1984). It was not talked about as much back then. Usually these incidents occurred when he had too much to drink and came back to the office loaded.

HOW could we possibly know what was going on in HW's perverted brain? This guy is obviously a real sicko ... and you're hinting you know how he picked and chose his victims? Really?

I'm sure she feels very foolish now for calling him a God and if not, there is something wrong with HER.
So you think that Meryl was a huge hollywood star from day one? That she never had any of this happen to her and that she may have had trouble dealing with it as well? Amazing no blame at her male counterparts like I said this is all Meryl's fault. How dare she.
