Hooray for the Red, White and Blue , John P. Sousa

Bought my Grandson a  musical book  called Ditty Bird  book that contains patriotic  songs,  Grand Old Flag,  Hooray for the Red, White and Blue, Yankee Doodle, This Land Is your Land

I sing all the songs to him. He knows the lyrics of   some of these songs .

Today we are singing Grand Old Flag and  Hooray for the Red , White and Blue  while waving our American Flags

This is what a bonehead I'm becoming in my old age - I kept thinking June 14, June 14, why does that date sound so familiar? 

D'oh!  Now I know.   

It's only been about 20 years since I bought that thing you put on the side of your house to put up a flag.  Maybe my husband will put it up soon.  *rolleyes*    No, I'm not holding my breath.  Furthermore, I don't even know where it is at this point.  heh

Johnny Cash sings a lovely song "the Ragged Old Flag". It is an old song but is still very Patriotic.

Today and everyday we should see more of our Flag, and the MIA Flag, to remind us to never forget , and of who we really are as a nation.

May the flag ever wave for freedom, justice and liberty. God Bless the USA
