Our flag flies on my home each and every day; I love seeing my neighbors doing the same.

Ditto here....sunrise to sunset our flag is out.  🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Did you know the a properly folded flag has 13 folds and each fold has a meaning?  I did not....just read an article on it and need to Google for more info.  Sun shining and flag flying.....beautiful!

@walker , I knew all that at one time. When I was in grade school, we raised, lowered, and folded the flag each day. It was a real honor for those chosen to do that. We had student crossing guards that were chosen to raise and lower the flag...and we even had badges! Different times, happy memories.

Those are such good memories, @Carolina925 ,  thanks for sharing.   One of my favorites is, when my son was little, the parents were invited for an informal, in-classroom concert of patriotic songs the kids had prepared.  Will never forget those fresh little faces, and their enthusiastic rendition of George M. Cohan's classic,  "You're a Grand Old Flag".

".....You're a grand old flag/ You're a high-flying flag/ And forever in peace may you wave/   You're the emblem of/  The land I love/  The home of the free and the brave...."

My apartment looks out over Iwo Jima -- I treasure that view every day.  Thanks for the photos, @Oznell -- they are visual reminders of how fortunate we are and grateful we should be to all who fought and died under that flag.
