She has no idea what real life among the people is all about. Her arrogance is astounding.

I still can't believe THAT happened!
Joan Rivers said the judges must have been Hellen Keller and Stevie Wonder.

Now she should be given the highest military award?

She needs a reality check! She needs to have her work boycotted for awhile. Or go visit the troops and talk to them!!! Eat what they eat, wear what they wear, be away from your family for awhile and send her to some front lines in a tank!!

I believe it was Tom Cruise, though in retrospect his comments were taken a little out of context imo.
I'm not a fan of GP's but her words were also taken out of context. What she said was,"It’s almost like how, in war, you go through this bloody, dehumanizing thing, and then something is defined out of it,". Frankly, I don't know why anyone outside of her friends and family would give a tinker's darn about what she says.
Ok, Devil's Advocate checking in.
Thank you for posting the entire comment. In NO WAY is she dissing the Military.
This is no more than another way of stating "That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger." A tempest in a teapot, Period.
If this quote had appeared without the attribution, it would have gone unnoticed. But as it stands, it's just another chance to jump all over GP. Is isn't so much what was said, as who said it.
Other have made similar statements and maybe if you don't know who said these, you'll look at them more objectively:

Odd that she made these comments, when several months ago she declared that negative comments about her didn't bother her at all unless they were coming from family members or close friends.

She is an idiot. I wish she would keep her mouth shut so that her stupid thoughts couldn't be verbalized.
