Social media requires scrolling down to see the next message. Elevators go up and down. He doesn't want to go down with us, so he says "Keep scrolling" because he's going up.

As I see it, it's something that would strike some funny, others not.

It's funny to me because I think about what would cause anyone to connect an elevator going up and down with scrolling on the internet, then make a meme and post it on social media.
