Great pictures kittymomNC! Thanks for posting - I like the one about summer and I understand her sentiment - Grumpy Cat and I both live in AZ, where it will be 100 degrees this Saturday.

So you and Grumpy Cat are "neighbors"! Does Arizona have dry heat or humid? I wish our winters were as cold as our summers are hot! I love cold weather and snow, and we seldom have either...but you can bet in summer it will be in the 90's with very high humidity. It's miserable, and the older I get, the more I hate it. I need to move to some mountains somewhere!

Oh my gosh, I love "It's the humanity" picture! Grumpy lives somewhere north of me, but I don't know where. I'm looking forward to her new book - I got the last one for Christmas and I loved it. When her last book came out, she did a local book signing. I couldn't go, but I read in the paper that people stood in line for 3 hours to get her "autograph" - a rubber stamp of a paw print. Of course, the real reason people stood in line so long was to get to see her in person. She was there in her basket, sleeping much of the time. I think maybe you could take a picture, I'm not sure, but definitely no petting. I'm thinking I might go if she has another book signing - I really want to see her in person Can you say "crazy cat lady"?
Regarding the weather, our winters are perfect and they are the only reason to suffer the summers. And while we do have the famous dry heat (humidity around 35% it seems they say nowadays), it is not like it was 30 years ago when we had 8% humidity and temps over 110 didn't feel that bad. We also got a lot more rain then than we do now. Nowadays, with all the lawns, pools, public land in all the housing developments, parks and golf courses our humidity has gone up and with all the new concrete (literally miles and miles and miles of it plus all the new buildings) it doesn't cool down in the evening like it used to. Even with all that, I still wouldn't want to live where you do - how do you get through the humidity?
I couldn't do it.

I think this cat was on American Idol a few weeks ago. She was with Randy Jackson.

I heard she was on Idol, but I missed it b/c I don't really watch Idol anymore, only when I happen to catch it on Thurdays (Wednesdays are dedicated to Survivor, a show I still love). Wish I had known - I would've definitely tuned in for that! Did Randy call her "Dawg"?
