There are things about which we can do nothing, some of them big. 

There are things about which we can do plenty, most of them small.

Should we just worry and complain about the things out of our control and do nothing about those things, however small and seemingly unimportant, we can control?

If you mean the teenager's sheets, then nothing can or should be done unless one is expected to sleep in his bed.

If you mean the visitor who was given a bed with used sheets, a simple, " Oh, I see you haven't changed the sheets yet, I'd be more than happy to do it if you'll just tell me where I can find the clean ones.

In college my BF and I spent a weekend at his friend's house. In the bathroom getting ready to shower, the only towel in there had that wet-towel-rolled-up-in-the-trunk-of-a-car-in-July sour smell. I asked the host if he had a towel that I could use. His response: "Well....the only one I have that is sorta clean is the one hanging in the bathroom." I took my shower, and then what didn't get drip-dried got dried off with toilet paper. We got a hotel room for the second and last night.
