I have learned to try and respect everyone's grief process......some move forward and some don't move......it's difficult with this juxtaposition of family members....my mom died12 years ago today..... I am so fine with it, but some are not ......she chose that she didn't want to live....the living have to grieve and I am their grief counselor.....

People definitely grieve in their own ways and times.

Croemie - thanks...I am so at peace with it....however, my family is not....my DH just had us do a Dewar's shot on behalf of my mom....I did half and he did half...she wanted to die and so be it......I was in hospice and the medical field for years....my family just is still grieving.....a lot.

It is no one's place to tell another person how to grieve or how they should grieve. But, we can be supportive to anyone we come in contact with that is grieving. And also, people don't always grieve because of a death of a loved one......there are many reasons for people to grieve. Grief can hurt to the core, and may take a long time to recoop from it......

For anyone grieving on this thread tonight, know that you are not here alone. Take care of yourselves.....you are important......

Mick.....know that you are in my prayers tonight...... And yes, croemer, you are too. Here's hoping the might possibly be some improvement in your mother's condition. If not, I hope and pray they are keeping her comfortable.
