Yes, I remember reading him say that he dreamt of Duane being on the other side of a bridge and beckoning to Greg to join him-maybe that was when he was waking up from surgery or maybe it was just a dream...

For those that will miss him - family, friends, fans, I'm sorry for your loss.  I was never a fan - did not care for his music.  Heard he had several health issues.

He looked so different from one of the last times I saw a picture of him, I Googled if he wasn't the one who had married Cher. So I did remember correctly, he was just very different from the last picture I saw of him.

Eric may be next. I saw a photo of him a week or so ago in a wheelchair at LAX and he looked very thin and frail.

I'm a big fan of his music too, as well as the Allman Brothers.

Liked his top-hits, but neither here/there w/ anything else.

Reading about his personal life...ooooof...talk about

wheel's.off.  5 kids w/ 5 different women.  And how many 

marriages?  Seems he was searching for something.

I did see several pictures of Jimmy Carter wearing an Allman Brothers

shirt...seems there was a connection w/ the two being from Georgia.

It appears his life was very turbulent.

Hopefully he finds peace.

It was weird what Cher tweeted about Gregg's death. It's not as if I didn't already know she is a nut case. I wasn't going to comment other than to say that he lost his brother so young, and went into a downward spiral. He obviously cleaned himself up or he wouldn't have been made it to age 68. Doing that is in and of itself noteworthy. His talent, however,  is legendary and undisputed. Duane & Gregg have their place in Southern Rock as Pioneers. My condolences to his family.

I'm not surprised Cher tweeted about his death, they do have a son together, Elijah Blue.
