Here we go again. My husband was listening to the radio in his vehicle yesterday. The topic of discussion was today's St. Patricks Day. It seems that there are some who want to change the name of the day and the celebration to 'Green Day' instead of St. Patrick's Day. Those wanting the change, want it nationwide and some teachers are already disguarding the traditional for the p.c. version. There was a mention that St. Patrick .......this was way out there, had slaves according to a university professor. My husband listens to A.M talk radio and they are pretty level on reporting the goings on in the country, not necessary the tabloid rubbish. I really wonder what is next. I don't purchase items on this day. I am not of Irish ancestry, but I have no issue with the tradition or the acknowlegdement by those who want to have an enjoyable day. Enjoy while you can because some people aren't going to be happy until they get their way.
