Who cares if she lip synced. As Jules said in that setting it would be very hard to not do it. Accoustics, the moving around etc.

The lip syncing authorities seem to find fault with everything anyway.

I don't care either. She's not my favorite, but I think she has a good voice. She put on a good show, IMO.

Katy did a great job and so did Missy Elliott. Katy kept it classy and gave a great performance. As for her lip-syncing, it's standard for the Super Bowl with all that activity, they have to keep the timing exact. I'm sure she was singing along. Idina Menzel did a beautiful job with the national anthem, but that was pre-recorded too.

I just checked and it was written that the national anthem was sung live, not pre-recorded.

Well I read that it is always pre-recorded and that she did record it...whether they used it or not, guess the news will cover that tomorrow. Regardless, not a big deal either way.

If it's not live than why not just play the recording and allow her to prance around or whatever she calls what she was doing, nothing like a Beyonce or even Madonna performance. To pretend singing is silly when it's obvious she's not.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that Bey lip synced at THE inauguration and she admitted it along with many other recent Superbowl entertainers who did too.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. And how refreshing to see a young woman who doesn't need to display her breasts and shake her b u t t in order to get attention. The costumes were creative and I loved the sharks and all of her outfits.
