I'm in WA and never heard of this place.

@Love my grandkids,

Well, you've just been deprived lol!

I miss having one. I don't know what it is that makes everyone love it so much but I did too. They just seem to have just what you want at any season.

The best coffee and sandwiches just how you like it.

At the one were I used to live they always  greeted you with have a nice day hun or how are you? And really wanted to know!

I grew up in Connecticut (my home state) and being surrounded by WaWa's. However, here in Nebraska there are none.

@THEY CallMe Mr Wilkes    My Upper West Side friend would disagree with you. She constantly complains that Manhatten has become overfilled with suburban stores, which of course are far inferior to anything NYC-born.

@Shelbelle

I'm in Southern Maryland and there is one 5 minutes from my house.

I've never stopped there, but might have to take a tour of the place. Cat LOL

It's a long, long trek from the Upper West Side to the Astor Place Wegmans.

I find myself walking there 2 or 3 times weekly.  Nothing in Manhattan like it and I am now devoted.

Now I want me a WaWa.

An interesting thing about Wawa is the company's lack of tolerance for crime. If the crime rate is rising in the area near a store, they will close it down and sell off the real estate.

With Philadelphia's current crime situation, this has resulted in Wawas being closed across from multi million dollar condos.

So if you're thinking about moving, you should check if Wawas are opening or closing.
