There is another aspect to spoken poor grammar that is rarely if ever mentioned. A person may have been taught correct grammar in school, and may even have heard correct grammar at home, but if the peers they value socially, and to some extent even in a work environment, use poor/incorrect grammar, the person who once upon a time knew better will aim to sound like their peers so as not to stand out, or not to be thought "above themselves" in their peer group. The poor grammar then becomes second nature, even if they know the difference.
